In order to speed up the application and development of Dongguan semiconductor lighting industry technology and to carry out uniform plan to the development of Dongguan photoelectric information industry, under the leadership of Dongguan associated authorities, Dongguan Semiconductor Lighting Technology And Application Engineering Center was established in Kingsun Photoelectricity. At its beginning, the center was supported by Dongguan Scientific & Technological Office, Dongguan Development & Reform Commission, Dongguan Economic & Trade Commission, and Changping Town Scientific & Technological Office, established sound relationship with the photoelectric experts from Shenzhen University and Dongguan University of Technology, and formed the R&D system integrating “industry, university and institute” into a whole.

With an area of more than 1,200sqm, the lab takes charge of the seal technology of low heat resistance power-type LED, optimal design of power-type LED optical system, high-efficiency and high-reliability driving technology of semiconductor lighting system, and high-efficient seal technology and systematic application technology of power-type LED.

In team construction, the center adopts the method in combination of assignment and employment to consist of a R&D team of more than 30 staff who master advanced semiconductor lighting technology and application technology, including LED senior engineers, the integrated photoelectron experts from Tsinghua University and more than 20 technicians. The center has a director, two deputy director, 1 technical director, 1 lab and 9 functional departments.

Surrounded R&D and application of semiconductor lighting technology, the center applies the results to industry, which is to promote the technical level and R&D capacity of Dongguan LED enterprises, to provide strong driving force for the rapid development of Dongguan LED industry, and to make Dongguan LED industry become an influential industry in the world.

LED Lighting Branch
LED Lighting Branch is one of core branches of Kingsun Photoelectricity. Its products cover high-power LED road lamp, indoor LED lighting, and LED flood light, etc. Now LED Lighting Branch has a group of top-notch, capable and path-blazing talents consisting of the experts from Tsinghua University National Key Integrated Optoelectronics Lab, domestic famous LED senior professionals and professional engineering technicians, among whom there are 48 post-doctorates and doctorates, and more than senior professionals.
